Dr. Bai (Hamin Hwangsabu) is a licensed traditional healer from Koh Lanta, Krabi Province, recognized by the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, Ministry of Public Health. He carries forward a lineage of healing wisdom passed down through generations of his family—midwives, dancers, martial artists, and herbalists.

From a very young age, he was immersed in traditional medicine:

At age 6 he began gathering herbs with his grandfather, learning how to identify, prepare, and preserve them.

At age 8 he started giving massages and applying postpartum techniques taught by his great-grandmother, a village midwife.

At age 10 he earned his first income as a healer by massaging patients.

By age 15 he was practicing Tok Sen, a unique therapy he learned from sea gypsies who used rhythmic wooden tapping to heal—an art he later refined into a therapeutic system still practiced today.

His healing path was not just study but lived experience. As a teenager, he survived severe illness with herbal remedies and the care of tribal healers. He later deepened his practice through years of meditation, dissection studies, and treating patients in his community. 

Today, Dr. Bai is recognized not only for his mastery of traditional therapeutic massage—particularly his specialization in Karsai massage—but also as the originator of the Solid Energy Bamboo Tapping Therapy (Tok Sen).
In addition, he is highly regarded for his expertise in medicinal herbs, cupping, capillary blood release, and detoxification treatments.
